Bidding Farewell to a Friend
Transporting N8270P (a.k.a. Gloria) to her new home in California

Later Thursday

Reno held some sentimental value for me, as it was the place we bought the airplane over six years ago. We taxied to the same operator I'd visited back then and bought some gas. They were kind enough to provide a 'pilot car' so we could go into town for some lunch.

On the way back from lunch, we were amused to see an authentic Nu Yawk Pizza parlor.

And then, back into the air! The final part of the trip would only be about 1.5 hours, but it was above some very interesting and mountainous terrain. As we reached Sacramento and beyond, the mountains went away, to be replaced by farmed valleys.

And finally, after just about 21 hours of flying, we reached our destination!
